BLUE HOUSE ART SQUARE

As Ada grows in both size and population there is a new community that will be interested in sourcing and enjoying art. It is proven that the arts improve the quality of life for people, contribute to the economic vitality of communities and have the power to bring people together. Enter Blue House Art Square. What is this amazing place ?? Not an art fair. Not a gallery but little seasonal art sheds filled with art of all kinds and staffed by the artist/artists.

Behind Bordy’s Be Coffee shop at 7267 Thornapple River Drive  is a lovely shaded spot that will just fit 5 little 12 x 12 sheds. Each shed will house one or more artists who lease the shed for the season from June through October. The space is located right next to Ada’s thriving Farmers Market each Tuesday.

 

At BHAS, visitors will discover art and craft of all kinds ! Painting, fiber, clay, jewelry, glass.Each shed is hosted by the creative who made the work . Some sheds might house more than one artist to introduce you to the work on display. Art will be available for sale that day . You can return and visit at one of the other hours to buy again or bring a friend. The sheds will be open from June  Farmers market opening until the close of Farmers Market in October. Note the additional hours during the week when Blue House Art Square is open.​

 

Adjacent to BHAS are restaurants, shops, the library, and is just a short walk to the Historic Covered Bridge and the Thornapple River view points . There is a  lot to enjoy in your visit!
